About

gorilla

It was a cool day just before spring.  My sisters and I were out shopping and we drove past a gorilla advertising a going out of business sale.  Some people honked, some waved, and a few even yelled.

They weren’t like me.  They didn’t have gorilla suits in their trunks.

We pulled over in a nearby parking lot, and I proceeded to suit up (complete with the pink bow on my gorilla head).  We approached the gorilla from behind and managed to scare the living daylights out of the poor guy.  It was awesome.

I love mischief and novelty, two things that most people don’t get nearly enough of.  I also love travel, animals, reading, writing, cooking, and learning new things.  I’m currently working on improving my programming skills so I won’t be at the mercy of programmers for every miniscule change beyond basic HTML and CSS.

I’m also known for exceptionally bad taste in music.  The last two concerts I attended were Air Supply shows.  Before that, Loverboy.  Life’s too short to miss out on good concerts for “image” - especially when your favorite performers are of retirement age.  Outside of 80s music, I also listen to a lot of international music, electronic/house music, and elevator music.   Check out  my YouTube playlists for the dirty truth about my listening habits.

Professionally, I’m fortunate enough to have the freedom to do whatever seems interesting at a given time.  I used to work as the Marketing Director for an e-commerce company, but I left that position in 2008 and I currently work for myself doing affiliate marketing and working on a couple of personal projects.  I also take on client work from time to time when I find especially interesting opportunities.
